Who we are
For nearly four decades, Tenaska has been a stable and reliable leader in the energy industry, putting our strength to work and building value for our customers and the communities where we do business.
Our mission
Our mission is to be an ethical, highly respected, socially responsible company that provides outstanding customer service and value through marketing natural gas and electricity, providing development services and safely and reliably operating our energy assets.
Supporting communities
We believe that being a leader extends far beyond financial success — it’s about being a force for good in and around our communities. It’s fundamental to who we are.
Tenaska strives to make a positive impact. We take our corporate citizenship seriously and hold ourselves accountable to support and strengthen the communities where our facilities are located. We take the time to build relationships with local leaders, residents and neighbors, and we work diligently to understand local interests and needs.
In addition to the significant tax revenue and other economic benefits our facilities provide, we share our success with the communities where we live and work by supporting local schools and students through Tenaska scholarship programs. We also provide essential resources to local first responders, volunteer in the community and support charitable organizations, among other community-focused activities.

Most importantly, our approach to safety is not just a set of policies and procedures — it’s a priority and expectation that our safety programs are continually measured and reinforced year after year.
