Founded in 1987, Tenaska is one of the leading independent energy companies in the United States, with a reputation for high standards and expertise in natural gas and electric power marketing, energy management, development and acquisition of energy assets, and operation of generating facilities. Tenaska and its affiliates are committed to being good neighbors in the communities where its plants are located. To express the company’s commitment to education, scholarships are offered through the high schools located in the counties with plant operations.
Eligibility guidelines and application requirements are detailed below. All requirements must be met for an application to be considered. The scholarships awarded in spring 2025 may be used only for the 2025-2026 school year. After that time, the money will be forfeited.
